The Manta
Oh my gosh! I was in Sea world! I was in San Diego, a very hot place. I was with my cousins, Maggie, Evelyn, and Finley, and my brother, Caden, and my parents at Sea world. We had just arrived at Sea world a little while ago, and had already gone on some rides. "Let's go on the Manta," suggested Mom. "Um, what's that?" I asked. "I'm not sure. But i know it is a roller coster. But, even though you haven't ever been on one, Laina, i am sure you'll like it," Mom said. I decided to go, and all of us headed toward the Manta. It took a while, because Sea world is so big, but we found it. "Daddy, I'm not so sure i want to do this," I said nervously. "Oh, come on, it'll be fun," dad said. "All right." I pull dad up the way to the Manta. We go on. I sit next to dad, and took of my foot-flops off and sat on them for safety of them flying off. I sat in a seat, quivering. I held dad's hand tightly. A person came around and put down our harnesses. "We are going to go," a voice said out of a speaker. We slowly moved. Then we moved faster. "Be ready, there might be a drop," dad said. Oh, no, I thought. We went faster. Then we went really fast, and started the ride. Oh my god...why did i ever do this? I think. There was no drop, thankfully. The ride went real fast, and for some seconds i couldn't breath. The ride ended a minute or so later, and i got off, shaking. The people had took a picture of each row, and i saw myself and dad, and i looked so scared. I laughed i looked so funny. Maggie and Evelyn liked it so much they went on it ten times more in a row. Personally, i did NOT like the manta. Maybe i'll go on it again...someday later...like in a million years.

A new place
¡Hola, amigo! I am in Chile, an awesome place. I live here in chile, in fact. I was born in Chile. My mother was. So was father. So was Jessie, my best friend but also my sister. I have decided now that i am 21, i am going to see the U.S. I am going to take Jessie, i would miss her too much if i don't. I have learned enough english, but people say half of the people there speak spanish. English is a hard language. Not to people who know English. I tell mother and father, and decide to leave the next day. Jessie and i pack that night. The next morning, we drive to the airport and board the plane. At 8 p.m., we are in Washington, and it is vary cold here. I do not think i needed to bring my swimsuit."Malory!" Jessie calls when we get off the plane. "¡Espera!" "Espera" means wait in spanish. I wait in the airport. I speak to Jessie in English, just to practice. "Let's get a taxi and go to our hotel," I say. "Si," Jessie says. A taxi picks us up and drives us to our hotel. "So, where do you come from?' the taxi driver asks. "Oh, chile," i say. "Cool," the taxi driver says. "My name is Max. What is yours?" "Oh, i'm Malory, and this is Jessie," I say. "¡Hola!" Jessie said. "Hola a ti, Jessie," Max says. We arrive at our hotel room at nine. "Goodnight," i say to Jessie. "Si," Jessie yawns.
In the morning, Jessie and i go to Qodoba, a nice place. i have fried egg with salad and Jessie has a hamburger. I think we ate well there. Best place i ever been to. Sad that we have to leave today, Jessie and i visit the space needle. It is amazing. Better than Chile. Later, we board the plane again. Then we arive in chile and drive to our house again. In my bed in chile, i dream about what i had seen in washington. The space needle. Qodoba...
I am glad i was there. I think Jessie liked it there, too.

just a chip
I am only a plain juanita chip. A yummy, salty, juanita chip. A very pointy chip. Wish I were saltyer. This note i am writing to my friend, sun chips, with some salt i found, and this is it;
Dear Sun chip,
I am writing this will salt, which may fall of as i send you it. You see, sun chip, (actually, you can't see: there is nothing to see) i have found a jar of pepper, and each peice is talking, and i only can listen to one pepper grind at a time. I need your help, sun chips, to bring some more potable ears for me...NOW, PLEASE! Sincerely, Juanita chip.
My note, of course, may have not been usefull, and i do not think it was, because later, Sun chips wrote back and said; Dear Juanita chip,
I am afraid i have no potable ears. I am much more wise than you, you don't even know there is no such thing as potable ears. I will see you in a day, and teach you. You have a lot to learn. From, Sun chip.
Later, the next day, Sun chip came, and couldn't find me, so went back to his home and wrote me a letter, but i never wrote back, so he figured i was dead. A month later, sun chip got eaten, too.

I think i will take a break from Sun chip, who says he is much more "wiser" than dear ol' me. I think i'll hide. Hey, i'm smarter than i think i am! i think. I hop on my point off the counter, towrd a room, but then i freeze and fall down. There is somebody in the room. I help myself up and hop to another room. The walls are pink, the bed is pink, come to think of it, everything is pink! I go in the pink room. "Guakkkkk!" I say. I have not seen such a girlyish room. I hide in the closet, and admire everything. Even the clothes are pink. Even the shades are pink! "Ahh! I know just what i'm going to do!" I say. I go out of the room and up on the counter again. I am going to teach sun chip about the girl's room. I am going to teach him about the color pink! I think. Just then, the dad comes into the kitchen, and says, "Oh, a chip, hmm!" and eats me. All my memories, plans...are down the drain! i think. Sun chip will never see me again. Oh, no! I suddenly die. Bye! World! I think as i die and get chewed.
Later, the next day, Sun chip came, and couldn't find me, so went back to his home and wrote me a letter, but i never wrote back, so he figured i was dead. A month later, sun chip got eaten, too.
