Mia

Mia left the house. It was the afternoon, and Mia Zimmerman had a plan for the MGC. MGC meant “Math Girls Club”. She walked over to Lizzy Bean’s house and instantly she saw her friends: Lizzy, and Emma. “What’s 48 divided by 2?” Emma asked Mia as she walked in. “Hmmmm,” Mia thought. “Ohhh, I know! It’s 24!” The MGC was a good club. Each girl had at least one calculate, a note pad, a tag member ship, a lap top, a phone, pencils, a desk to work at and much more. The MGC had a ton of money. If you want to know, the person who is the boss in the club is Mia. In fact, when the club started, one of Mia’s rules was that the club would get somebody to teach their kids math. That’s how the MGC got money. But now, the club had no more jobs because the club needed no money. “Hey, Lizz! What is 72 divided by 2?” asked Mia. Mia was the boss because she was the smartest. Oh, let me tell you something, reader. The club was arranged by Bella, a girl in the class. Bella had asked each girl in the class if they wanted to be in the club. 9 said no, even Bella. “36. Why me?” said Lizzy.  “Because now you ask me something,” Emma said. “Okay. Why me?”  Lizzy asked again. All the girls cracked up-well not Emma.  “Not that kind of something! A math question!” Emma said all mad and her voice sounded mad, to me. “Okay, whatever. 78 divided by 2,” Lizzy was not in a good mood. “Ha ha. Easy. 39,” Emma was almost as smart as Mia. Mia knew that Lizzy and Emma might be enemy’s. Mia also was the kind of girl who loved math, reading and school. One day, Mia asked Emma if she didn’t like Lizzy. She said no and I knew it from then on. Another day, Timmy Tammy stared a club called “The Boys’ Business Club”. What an awful name. But, oh no! All of the boys said yes except Hon Con and Fong Miger. Mr. Answer said that the most popular club in 4th grade would get $1,000 a year. I mean the club would get $1,000 every two years for 6 years. That’s a lot of money. The 9 girls in the class started a “I know everything” club. And a chunk of boys’ started a “Boys’ basketball” club. More girls came into our club.  So that’s me, Emma, Lizzy, Monica, Bri, and Helena. That’s 6 in the club now.  My dad, Mr. Zimmerman even bilt a real clubhouse for us. Oh, there is also a sewing club. Our vice principal, Miss Patty, said that the 4th grade classes to go to the club room. It used to be the speech room, but then our principal, Mrs. Tina fired the speech teacher because Bella and other kids started forming clubs and our school needed a room for that and all. I thought. The boys’ clubs had a good chance of winning. Why do I say that? Because every boy in 4th grade wants to be in the boys’ club. Mia called a group meeting. “We need to get in shape!” I said. “Does anybody have an idea?” “Oh, oh! I do!” said Helena and Monica at the same time. “Okay, what is it Monica?” I asked. “I know this girl named Beca,” said Monica. “She has great ideas. Maybe she can help.” Beca, huh?” Bri said sounding vary board. “Odd. Is Beca in 6th grade and have a last name something like Tiplog-whatever?” asked Lizzy. “Uh, yes, indeed,” said Monica. “How about we do that, Mi-a?” said Helena. “Don’t call me Mi-a! Or you’ll be out of the club!” Mia said madly. The days went by, and finally Mrs. Patty told all the classes to go to the clubs room. “And the winner is…” Mrs. Tina said. “The Math Girls Club! Congratulations girls!”  “Boo!” went the boys. “Yay!” went the girls. That means…… they won! Wow! Talk about good luck! The girls were soooo happy.

The End
