Robyn, Helena’s maid, helped me into my coat. You see, I am
a wealthy child, and an only child. That means I have no brother or sister.
“Robyn, what is the weather today?” I asked. “Am I ready to go to school?” Robyn
nodded. “It is 65 degrees out rainy.” “I
think I’ll sent you with Hanes, dear,” my father said. Dad is known as Mr.
Zimmerman and his real name is Josh Alec
Zimmerman , and mom is known as Mrs. Zimmerman. Robyn calls me Miss Helena.
“Never!” I shouted. “You want me to make
my friends jealous? Never, ever will I do that! You think I know better?” I
grabbed my rain coat, rain boots and an umbrella. Then I ran out. A couple
minutes later, my friends came to my house. “We came to walk with Helena,” my
friend named Erin Mesdag said. “You can take the limo. Helena walked out with an
umbrella,” Mr. Smith said. “Cool!” my friend named Anna Webers. “A real limo?”
asked my friend named Meta Dean. “You bet. You should get going,” Mr. Smith
said. “Thanks,” yelled Meta. “A,” Erin said. “Lot!” Anna yelled. On Smith
street, the girls saw Katie. Erin rolled down her window, and Meta shouted,
“Helena!” Anna yelled, “Over!” and Erin yelled, “Here!” I looked up. I saw my
friends, and waved. When the limo reached me, I hoped in. I was soaking wet! We
arrived at school a couple minutes later. At lunch, Erin asked Helena something
and this is it, “So, why didn’t you take the limo? It’s so cool.” “Erin,
listen. This is the truth. It’s not fun being rich. I mean-I’m not the kind who
wants to hurt other kids feelings. You know? Like some modern girl or boy might
want to have all this money when they have none. Like the kid might think that
the other person is just showing-off.” I said. And that was true.
